Koenigsegg One: 1 Supercar Comes With Cloud Connectivity And Custom App
Developing the world’s first supercar these days takes a lot more than just making sure you get the fastest acceleration or the highest top speed or the most outrageous styling. Supercar brands today need high-tech interfaces and connectivity options as much as they need power, and one of the most advanced in this area is Sweden’s Koenigsegg.
Koenigsegg is presenting its limited edition One: 1 supercar at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show this week, with 1340 horsepower making it the most powerful production car on the planet and potentially the fastest too. But the One: 1 isn’t all about raw power, as it also offers a pretty fancy suite of electronic goodies.

Together with its Swedish colleague Telenor Connexion, Koenigsegg offers with its new cloud services One: 1, a web interface and an application for smartphones and tablets. The various services will allow owners to remotely monitor their car, its fuel level and battery status, as well as access the latest software.
Koenigsegg will also be able to access the cars remotely, which will allow it to optimize settings, install new software and monitor the condition of the vehicle from its headquarters in Ängelholm, Sweden.
Certain specific services, intended to be offered with future Koenigsegg models in addition to the new One: 1, allow owners to directly access statistics such as recent runs, average speed, top speed, lap time, force g, etc. They can also adjust the height of the rear spoiler, the firmness of the suspension, adjust the temperature and even open doors and windows.
“Our target market demands global customers who want the best,” Koenigsegg CEO and founder Christian von Koenigsegg said in a statement. “Telenor Connexion was the obvious choice for connecting our cars, with their vast and extensive experience in connected automotive solutions. “
